Welcome to the administrative page for the Johnstown Police Department. The office hours are Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Below you find information and various services offered.
The Johnstown Police Department Records are available for pick up at the Johnstown Police Department. We ask that you allow at least 7 days for the reports to be ready. Please call our records division for availability at (970) 587-5555 and you will need to go to the Johnstown Police Department to pick up the report, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. If you are unable to go to the Johnstown Police Department, please call the records division for arrangements.
You will need the following items to pick up a report:
1.) Case Number (format is 17-0000 - normally provided on a business card by the officer)
2.) You must fill out a records request form
3.) You will need proper identification
Remember, reports will not be made available until they have been completed, approved by supervision, and processed. This process normally takes 5 business days from the time of the initial report, but it can take longer. If a case is in an active investigation status, the report may not be available until that investigation is complete. Please contact the above number to see if your report is available for request.
Sex Offender Registration
If you need to register as a sex offender, please contact the Johnstown Police Department, North-Sub Station to set up an appointment, 970-587-3119. Appointment hours will be scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Sex offender registration paperwork will be completed at the Johnstown Police Department North Sub-Station, located at 4890 Ronald Reagan Blvd (East side of Liberty Firearms). You will need to bring current government issued ID, and a copy of vehicle registration for any vehicles you drive. IMPORTANT: Failure to comply with any of the mandatory sex offender registration requirements will result is substantial penalties, including jail.
